Working Committees
Education
Coordination of educational needs and opportunities for producers and industry personnel Develop Professional Dairy School program and delivery system Educate producers and industry personnel on Federal Order Marketing system and milk pricing Coordinate education programs with Communication Committee
Information and Communications
- Develop communication strategy to and from producers and industry members, including web site and news letter
Promote KDDC vision to public/elected officials as well as allied organizations and dairy publications Explore development of producer/industry advertising directory Coordinate information with other committees
Economic Development
Develop and promote expansion programs for established producers Target potential geographic dairy growth areas and promote economic benefits of dairy industry to local officials and public Design and implement strategies which will promote Kentucky to outside producers and investors as a dairy friendly state
Government/Legislative/Federal Order
Promote KDDC position to elected officials and community leaders on laws, programs, and regulations, which affect the dairy industry. Position KDDC as a valued resource to officials for policy development and administration. Support and promote Federal Order rulings which benefit Kentucky producers Identify and address community concerns in targeted dairy growth areas.
